I have it all, but installed only some of it.
The things I used most are: the pizza oven, the tea set, the sauna and the massage table, the pinball machines, the market stand, the fixer upper car, the wishing well
Things I use less often are: the tablet, the surf station, the dragons, the hypnotizer, the baker's oven, the chocolate fountain, the baby swing, the things from the toy machine, the violin

My favourite are: the car, the pizza oven, the tea set and the wishing well

Actually I use the premium stuff a lot.
Love the casino slot machines, playing them gives my sims a reason to go out and they usually pay well. The canning station from the Mill Set is excellent as it gives my sims something to do with the fruit they grow. The wood fired oven and the Japanese grill are nice to have so sims can eat out. Love Roaring Heights fixer upper car for handiness.....and just in general to have a junk car in the yard while my sim is really poor!
The arcade games from the World of Wonder set are cute too.

I got things like the Quantum Power pack and Lady R(mumble mumble) Book of spells. Great novelty items, but they ruin game play so I stop using them after awhile. The cow plant... I played with that but I'm afraid the things are going to eat my sims - do they even get a head stone so you can bring them back?

Sims are better than us.

I saw cow plants eat sims, but mostly they just spit them right back out. Had that didn't get spit out. No one I cared about... it was my self sim iirc.

Sims are better than us.

Least favorite ones are basically the ones that missed huge glaring opportunities to expand gameplay and/or had issues of lazy implementation.

For cooking, the teppanyaki, Baking, and pizza oven sets, mainly because of the lost potential in not being able to assign NPCs to run them (like they at least did for the harvest stands).

The movie set, mainly because they didn't create actual movies for the screen.

The glassblowing set, but mainly because it doesn't make use of gems, metals or harvestables(in making perfume) to improve the crafting chain, nor does it create actual 'jewellery' objects or even perfume that can be sold. This one is actually doubly maddening considering that they originally planned a jewellery making system for Ambitions- but it never made it into the game.

Restaurants and businesses, mainly because we didn't get enough of a robust system implemented that doesn't feel like you're going through the back-end systems of the game, and that sims rarely visit restaurants on their own.

The Classically cool car set, but mainly because its aesthetics limits its use, and it reminds me that these functionalities are missing in other cars.

Aznsensei actually has a good set of reviews on nearly every Sims 3 Store set: http://aznsensei.blogspot.com/

Best: the restaurant one probably
Worst: the grim reaper door. Completely pointless. Or the lame air balloon

Oh god that air balloon was really awful. I understand what they tried to do, but I really do think they would have been far better off putting their efforts into something more practical.
I use the wishing well ,spellbook and cauldron. I do like the pizza oven & surf set as well. I use all of those a lot. I have all the premium stuff but I've never really used the restaurant set or anything like that.
And, despite the problems it used to cause, I like the Crystal Tree of Prosperity too.

And then they made into a jetpack which teleports in the exact same way, but at least the jetpack still has a skill and some fun interactions attached to it.

I don't have many Store content, maybe my favorites are the Head Start Playpen and the changing and Bathing Station for toddlers - these are stuff that I use on a daily basis so I find them to be good investment.
Also a surprise in a good way is the Titanic Toy Machine. I thought at first that the toys that can be crafted are just toy box stuff only, so it was a very positive surprise to see that the kite is a very usable and funny stuff (for teens, too, I think?), that the little drum toy is an actual skill-building object, and the baby playmat is also something I love to use.

The biggest disappointment for me is the Cowplant - as others already told, it's almost just decorative and doesn't fulfill my bloodthirsty desires. I also expected more from the gambling casino poker and roulette tables - somehow they are not as much fun as I expected. Maybe because sims play against a machine, and it doesn't count as a group game with interactions between the gamblers?

My favorite has to be the World of Wonder Carousel. I was always frustrated by the lack of fun things available to child sims, so when I saw the picture of Kaylynn Langerak (I presume that's her) having a grand time riding on an elephant, I made it my goal to possess that thing. In the event, once I'd amassed enough points, I got the whole set. If only there were more fairground rides I could fulfill my ambition to build the Great Simsworld Fair, but alas that will probably remain a pipe dream.

Of the few other Premium items I have (mostly the magical stuff) I don't think I have a least favorite: they all do what they're supposed to do, and if I want them in the game they're available.

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

my favorite items are definitely the baby/toddler related stuff and the ovens. I use the changing table, the playpen, and the walker all the time. also the baby mat from the toy machine so that I can use sandy's baby carriers. the ovens I love for the additional recipes and with the cook with any ingredient mod (I think that's the one) I can actually cook them on a regular oven instead of having to fill my kitchen up with a million different ovens.

I also like the dairy corral and the chicken coup because sometimes I play farmer sims so in addition to having them grow a bunch of plants I can also have them take care of cows and chickens. the canning station is another one I like, in part because of nostalgia tbh. my mom used to make homemade jam when I was a kid so I got really excited about that one.

I don't know that I'd actually say there's any pc that I don't like. a lot of it depends on what kind of story I'm trying to tell and whether or not I'm in the mood to set it up somewhere. I guess the baby monitor would probably be my least favorite. it doesn't fit my general style of play at all so it's just useless to me.

I like the Lucky Palms casino stuff (and the world itself). Lots of fun- I was lucky enough to be gifted this several years ago.

That's because it just teleports, and is the absolute cheapest thing they could have done. They literally could not have put less effort into it if they tried.

Ugh that balloon... it was a good idea in theory, but it lifted about a foot off the ground and would then teleport to the desired location. It really was a waste of time that could have produced something for more useable and practical. I don't really think that anyone sensible ever expected it to actually rise a hundred feet in the air and travel all over the map, but what was offered was kind of pitiful. And it was rather expensive! It's really no wonder that it gets a lot of criticism.

I see what you guys mememean. Though I could have sworn I seen it working differently to the people's expectation meeting reality. Like ascending up to the sky till it disappears and appears/descends in another location. A bit mandela effect is kicking me maybe.

I have all the premium content and have, at one time or another, played with and enjoyed almost all of it.
The Appliances are among my favorites and anything that has to do with gardening/farming and cooking. Love those ovens. :lovestruc
Toddler content is also at the top of my list.

Love having the Milkin'It Dairy Corral cows on the farm but the cow tipping option is, IMHO, sick. I love beef but that animation alludes to animal cruelty and I've disabled the tipping. I'd love to see the Cow Plant eat the developer.

Least favorites are:
the Door Of Life And Death and Grim's Ghastly Manor lot it came with.

and the Uber Sani-Sim Toilet. I don't know what ever prompted me to buy that one. It scares the ... never mind' I'll leave it at that.

I remember thinking at one point that the tablet was really neat, and I have it in my game now, but I haven't been able to catch myself making use of it. Hell, I think at least a few of my Sims carry one around. Then again they don't really use their phones a lot either. And with how much time I'm spending in the b88 save the only electronics that still get regular use are the radio and the boob tube.

My favorite premium content has to be the Carnival Carousel and the Lucky Palms casino. I love skilling my gambleholics up. My least favorite premium content is the hypnotizer thing that came with the clothes pack for Showtime. I loved the clothes, but that thing is useless and stupid.
