Update 5.5.20203: Here comes the rescuer, amazing OtakuBootiful who stepped in and save this challenge by updating it to match current standards and to take newest updates and DLCs in account.

Old rules below:
In 2020 some unnamed guy pressed The Big Red Button and started a nuclear war. Entire Earth is now toxic and nobody can live on the surface anymore. You and your friends were lucky because you had enough time to hide in a fallout bunker that allowed you to survive the initial blast.
But now you have to wait 5 (or 10 for HARDCORE MOD, see bellow) generations in the bunker as Earth will be habitable by that time again. The people you may see walking around your house/bunker are mutants and if you talk to them, you will catch an atomic desease from radiation they emit and your Sim will die.
This legacy challenge was inspired by the show The 100 where bunch of survivors lived in an underground bunker without any contact with an outside world (well... 😊 ). Unlike in other apocalypse challenges this is total lockdown challenge! No contact with an outside world (except other planets 😊 )
You can use 5 generation mode and hardcore mode restrictions if you want
YOU MUST HAVE GET TO WORK EP
Goal: succesfully raise 5th (10th) generation in the bunker into YA
STARTING POINT
THE BUNKER
1. Can be in any world and any size lot
2. You can build your own bunker or download mine from the Gallery (ID: Simkiim, Total Lockdown Bunker, You will need Get to Work, Parenthood and Spa day for Light version or Cats and dogs, City Living, Get together, Get to work, Parenthood, Vampires, Dine out, Spa day, Laundry day, Toddler stuff, Kids room, Romantic garden, Movie hangout, Cool kitchen, Perfect patio and Luxury party stuff for Full version, I was heavily inspired by Safe-Tech house by Charlesdrake, please look at his bunker, you can use that one if you want, but you must have all expansions to instal)
3. You can also download Safe place from me at Gallery (ID: Simkiim)
4. Lot must have a Quake Zone trait, other traits are up to you
THINGS YOU CANNOT HAVE
- Computer
- TV and radio (see "Lifted restrictions" paragraph)
- Observatory
- Space ship
- Trophies earned for Sims 3 purchase
- HARDCORE MOD: (see "Lifted restrictions" paragraph)
THINGS YOU CAN HAVE OR MUST HAVE
- Pots to harvest, 5 pots max (before lockdown, you can buy a computer and buy 1 bag of seeds of each type max)
- Anything that gives you skills - chess table, instruments, bookcase etc. (but you cannot buy more books than you already have in your bookcase)
- Stove, microwave etc.
- Anything you will build on woodcrafting table
- Invention Constructor (VERY IMPORTANT)!!! You will need to build a Wormhole generator later and this is the only way how to do it (you cannot have a job until later)
- Fire alarm (it's a fallout bunker, of course the builders though of everything)
- If you get a career reward, you can use it in your bunker
- 1 toilet
- 1 shower/bathtub
- 1 bookcase
- 1 kids tablet
- Max 1 Coffee maker
- Grill, stove
- 2 double beds + 2 toddler beds max
- 1 sofa
- 1 fridge
ORIGINAL SIMS
1. 4 unrelated Sims (any gender, but remember it is legacy challenge so you will need kids)
2. YA or older
3. 1 of them must have Evil or Insane trait
4. 1 of them (can be same Sim as with the evil/insane trait) must have Loves Outdoors trait
5. Others can have any traits you want
6. Can have pet(s) with them (but remember you can have only 8 Sims/Pets on one lot)
7. HARDCORE MODE: use random traits generator for their traits (but still include Evil/Insane and Love Outdoors). There are several great trait generators like at SIMSLEGACYCHALLENGE
AFTER SEALING
- You CAN NOT buy new items or rebuild main walls (border walls)
- You can re-decor but you have to use furniture you already have, you can change wallpapers/tiles
GENERAL RULES
Imagine you live in a bunker, unable to leave or contact outside world. The land is toxic and everyone is dead. If you see someone outside, it's a mutant, do not contact them or you will die (that Sim has to leave the bunker permanently or you can kill them).
1. No job for anyone (see: "Lifted restriction")
2. Lifespan whatever you want
3. Do not delete furniture to gain money
6. After 1st Sim of every generation reaches YA, you can redecorate - you can't buy more stuff but you can replace anything 1:1 (e.g. you can delete sofa you have and buy another one but you cannot have 2 sofas)
7. After moving in the bunker, SET FAMILY FUNDS TO 0 (testingcheats on => money 0)
8. The only way to make money is selling things you can have in your inventory and sell from the inventory (harvestables, collectibles from Sixam), you can find money in laundry and with Penny Pixies lot trait around the house
9. Max 8 Sims (or Sims + Pets) in the bunker
10. No services (maid, pizza delivery, nanny etc.)
11. No adoption of pets or kids (See: "How to make babies" paragraph)
12. No babies with anyone outside bunker (See: "How to make babies" paragraph)
13. No buying new items, you can only upgrade items you already have or make
16. If somene dies, you have to keep their urn in the bunker
17. Do not resurrect dead Sims
18. Use random trait generator for all children
19. EVENTS (see "Lifted restrictions" paragraph)
HOW TO MAKE BABIES
There are only two (4) ways how to make babies or marry someone besides 1st and 2nd generations (children of the first generation will have to have babies together). You CANNOT marry anyone you see in your world. You cannot leave the bunker, remember the land is toxic. However if you build a wormhole generator you can visit planet Sixam with plenty of aliens ready to mate 😊.
1. Alien way: Visiting Sixsam and having a baby with an alien
2. Ugly way: Fourth generation is not considered to be related with your first generation. If someone from the 1st gen is still alive they can have children with 4th gen Sims (yucky)
3. HARDCORE (ONLY 10TH GENERATIONS!) MODE: You can adopt a child in your 5th, 7th and 9th generation. It has to be toddler or child (not baby) and you have to modify them in CAS to look more like "mutants" (e.g. unusual skin colour, unusual eye colour, scarring etc.). Think carefully about who will adopt the child so you can marry them later to someone already living in your bunker.

LIFTED RESTRICTIONS & GENERATION GOALS & EVENTS
1st generation
- This generation sealed the bunker
- GOAL: They have to raise at least 2 kids who can have babies together
- EVENT (both modes): After each one of your Sims becomes an Elder, roll a die (d6)
2nd generation (after reaching YA)
- You can visit Sixam if you want, you can do whatever you want there (fishing, harvesting, making friends, relationships etc.)
- GOAL: This generation must build the wormhole generator
- HARDCORE MODE:
3rd generation (after reaching YA)
- You discovered a secret room. The secret room is connected to surface and now you can catch signals from satellites that still orbit the Earth. You find (can buy now): TV, radio and fridge in this room.
- If you play 5 gen mode, you can visit Safe place
- GOAL: Have kid with an alien
- HARDCORE MODE:
4th generation (after reching YA)
- One of your Sims can have a job (allowed jobs: Tech guru, Scientist, Astronaut, Doctor, Secret Agent, Criminal, Writer, Painter)
- HARDCORE MODE:
5th generation (after reaching YA)
- EVENT (only for 5 gen mode): After first Sim from 5th generation reaches YA, roll a die (d6)
6th generation (ONLY HARDCORE MODE, after reaching YA)

9th generation (ONLY HARDCORE MODE, after reaching YA)
- You can adopt a toddler or child but modify them so they have "mutant" features, they can have "human" skin
- GOAL: One of your Sims has to finish Super Parent Aspiration
- EVENT: After first Sim from 9th gen becomes Young Adult, roll a die (d6)
10th generation (ONLY HARDCORE MODE, after reaching YA)
- EVENT: After first Sim from 10th generation reaches YA, roll a die (d6)
SCORING
- 10 generation mode (hardcore mode) - 10 points (max 10)
- 5 generation mode - 5 points (max 5)
- Child reaching YA - 10 points each
- Completed skill - 5 points for each skill
- Completed unique skill - 20 points for each skill (skill completed for the first time, all Sims counts, e.g. if your 1st gen Sim had cooking on max lvl, you get 20 points but if another Sim reaches max cooking skill you don't get 20 points for that skill any more, but you will get 5 points for completed skill tho)
- Career on max - 50 points (max 100 points)
- Alien in family - 5 points each (alien babies counts as aliens, but they must have alien special skills)
- For each 10 000 sml in family funds by the end - 10 points
- "Mutated" Sim (Sims that left the bunker and contacted "mutants" must leave the household permanently) - minus 10 points each
- Dead Sim (Sims that died on the lot) - minus 5 points each
- Finished aspiration - 20 points
- Finished assign aspirations (Musical genius, Public Enemy, Super Parent) - 10 points for each (max 30 points)
- Adoption (in hardcore mode) - minus 5 points for each child/toddler
- If you finished with Quake zone, Cursed, Grody, Gremlins, Mean Vibe, Haunted or Filthy lot traits - 5 points for each (max 15 points)
- Books - 1 point for each book you own

o 5-6: "OH NO! I almost breathed in some toxic air. Better be careful next time!" (Nothing happens)
2nd generation (after reaching YA)
- You can visit Sixam if you want, you can do whatever you want there (fishing, harvesting, making friends, relationships etc.)
- GOAL: This generation must build the wormhole generator
- HARDCORE MODE:
o GOAL: Someone in your household must finish Musical genius aspiration- EVENT (both modes): After each one of your Sims from 2nd gen becomes an YA, roll a die (d6)
o 1-2: "What is even this place?" (Change one of your lot traits - except Quaqe zone - to Grody)
o 3-5: "Yeah, it is weird to live here" (nothing happens)
o 6: "Finally! I found that settings!" (you can change all of your lot traits)
3rd generation (after reaching YA)
- You discovered a secret room. The secret room is connected to surface and now you can catch signals from satellites that still orbit the Earth. You find (can buy now): TV, radio and fridge in this room.
- If you play 5 gen mode, you can visit Safe place
- GOAL: Have kid with an alien

o 1-2: "Oh shoot! That alien robbed me!" (set family funds to 0)
o 3-4: "Oh shoot! That alien tried to steal some money from me! I think he did actualy take some" (reduce family funds to half)
o 5: "Oh shoot! That alien tried to steal some money from me! Luckily I stopped them in time" (nothing happens)
o 6: "Jackpot! I found some cash!" (add 1000 sml to your family funds via cheat)
4th generation (after reching YA)
- One of your Sims can have a job (allowed jobs: Tech guru, Scientist, Astronaut, Doctor, Secret Agent, Criminal, Writer, Painter)
o You can't go with your Sim to their workplace- GOAL: One of your Sims have to finish at least 2 different aspirations
- HARDCORE MODE:
o You can adopt a toddler or child but modify them so they have "mutant" features- EVENT (both modes): After first Sim from 4th gen becomes Young Adult, roll a die (d6)
o Job restriction is not lifted yet
o You don't have to finish 2 different aspirations goal yet
o You discovered a secret room
o 1-2: "Ah, it's all useless! It was down here for way too long" (deteleTV and radio)
o 3-4: "Hm... it seem that not all things work properly" (choose to delete: TV or radio)
o 5: "Oh, everything works just fine" (nothing happens)
o 6: "Jackpot! It's a computer over there!" (you can buy a computer, you can use computer to chat, write, play games etc. You can't buy anything via computer - like books, seeds etc.)
5th generation (after reaching YA)
- EVENT (only for 5 gen mode): After first Sim from 5th generation reaches YA, roll a die (d6)
o 1: Nope, the air is not healthy yet. We went out too soon (You loose the game)- HARDCORE MODE:
o 2-6: We are free!!! (YOU WON AND CAN LEAVE THE BUNKER NOW)
o You can download my "Safe place" from Gallery and visit that place after your 5th generation reaches YA, you cannot marry or have babies with anyone you meet there but you can have other social interactions- EVENT (only for 10th gen mode): After first Sim from 5th gen becomes Young Adult, roll a die (d6)
o 1-2: "Safe place? Unfortunatelly it's long gone" (you cannot visit Safe place, you can reroll this after each gen reaches YA)
o 3-4: "Safe place? Seems nice but I don't think I can go there yet" (you cannot visit Safe place now, you can visit safe place after 6th gen reaches YA)
o 5: "Safe place looks fantastic" (nothing happens, you can visit Safe place)
o 6: "Safe place? More like sexy place!" (One of your female Sims can have a baby with someone she met at the Safe place. You cannot add father to your household, they cannot marry, it doesn't have to be Sim from this generation)
6th generation (ONLY HARDCORE MODE, after reaching YA)
- Two of your Sims can have job (allowed jobs: Tech guru, Scientist, Astronaut, Doctor, Secret Agent, Criminal, Writer, Painter)
o You can't go with your Sim to their workplace- GOAL: One of your Sims have to finish at least 2 different aspirations
- EVENT: After each Sim from 5th gen becomes an Elder, roll a die (d6)

- Completed unique skill - 20 points for each skill (skill completed for the first time, all Sims counts, e.g. if your 1st gen Sim had cooking on max lvl, you get 20 points but if another Sim reaches max cooking skill you don't get 20 points for that skill any more, but you will get 5 points for completed skill tho)
- Career on max - 50 points (max 100 points)
- Alien in family - 5 points each (alien babies counts as aliens, but they must have alien special skills)
- For each 10 000 sml in family funds by the end - 10 points
- "Mutated" Sim (Sims that left the bunker and contacted "mutants" must leave the household permanently) - minus 10 points each
- Dead Sim (Sims that died on the lot) - minus 5 points each
- Finished aspiration - 20 points
- Finished assign aspirations (Musical genius, Public Enemy, Super Parent) - 10 points for each (max 30 points)
- Adoption (in hardcore mode) - minus 5 points for each child/toddler
- If you finished with Quake zone, Cursed, Grody, Gremlins, Mean Vibe, Haunted or Filthy lot traits - 5 points for each (max 15 points)
- Books - 1 point for each book you own

I am going to try this for sure! (just as soon as my game finished updating)
a couple questions on scoring,
1. skills, 10 points for max or 5? it says "Completed skill — 5 points for each skill" but on the next item "Completed unique skill" it says you get 10 points for a skill, explain please!
2. dead sim, does that include dead by old age? its rather impossible to do 10 generations without a sim dying

1. For every maxed skill you will get 5 points. But if it's a skill you maxed for the first time (all sims counts here) you will get 20 points for that skill. Example: if your First Sim has max Painting skill, you will get 20 points. If your second Sim has max Painting skill and max Writing skill, you will get 5 points for Painting skill here and 20 points for Writing. This is just so people try to max different skills with Sims, not just the most usual ones .
2. I think for each Sim. So yes, you will loose some points but it prevents from making like 5 babies for every generation. It also prevents from moving the spares out. So if they die on a lot, you will lose only 5 points but if you move them out, you will lose 10 points. But you will get at least 10 points for a sim to grow up, so don't worry that you will lose too many points. I would change it only for unnatural deaths but it seems that in TS4 is super hard to die unnaturally

I just have a note. The Invention Constructor can't be used unless you're in the scientist career. I just sealed the bunker. So I will let you know how it goes.

Also one more question. How are we supposed to feed the sims without any money? I can't do any paintings to earn money or anything like that so I'm sort of stuck? Thanks for making this challenge, am looking forward getting into it more.

You are allowed to buy the packs of seeds. I sold the seeds I had copies of or that I was not interested in planting. I ended up with seven simolians. On the woodworking bench, I made a statue that used all the money. Once I sold that I got more back like 10 simolians. I just snowballed from there.

I have a couple of solutions to the Scientist problem since the second gen 'can' go to Sixam but can't have a job and therefore get the Wormhole Generator organically.
First solution is the simplest: buy the generator while building and lock it away. Maybe set up a random roll to see if your 2nd gen is smart enough to break the door code or make it so that if your 2nd gen has a genius you can get in. I dunno, be creative.
Second solution requires a mod. It's Coolspear's 'Retired Scientist' mod, which is on another mod site. Just search it, it'll come up.
I changed my premise a little for this so either solution would have worked. I made a bunker that was an abandoned government lab (it's all updated with Eco Lifestyle stuff because the neighborhood totally gave me post-apocalyptic vibes; if you want to check it out my gallery name is Aodra as well. Just look for 'Abandoned Lab/Bunker). If I went with the retired scientist I could say my scientist knew about it and led the other people there. I went with the locked room option. I think I'll make it some sort of event and roll for it.
My only real issue with this is the unrelenting question: if everyone is dead/mutated, who buys the stuff in my inventory? I have not found a solution. I figure once I reach Sixam I can say I'm selling to them but in the meantime I used MCCC to make my bills $0 because, again, who's charging me money? My lab has solar power and water purification so I figure I'm set. I will tell you though, money is very tight. Living on cereal takes a harsh toll.
