Debunkering a bunker?
I'm working on a series of buildings inspired by the Fallout games. A wealthy businesswoman got panicked by the possibility of nuclear war, bought a huge amount of land, and built residential and community lots-- with most of the useable space underground.
Over time, some of the lots have been made more visually normal, with landscaping, backyard additions, and so on. But I could still use some input on how to make the ground level bunker-style entry section less... bunker-y.
Right now, my focus is fixing this lot: the Underground Start-Up.
My goals:
- Keep the entry building looking shed-like, since the idea was that the previous owner was a botanist; and keep the kind of bunker-like vibe, since that's the underlying concept.
- Keep the furnished cost at no more than 19,000 simoleons, to make it accessible to brand-new home owners.
- Meet MTS's building standards.
My first thoughts: add a bit more decoration-- more plants, for example; or reshape the roof-- maybe give it a curved look, sort of a bunker-hobbit combo; or instead of plain concrete or siding, spring for a stone exterior?
Any input would be very welcome-- thanks for your time!
