However, there is an alternative mod on this creator's website:
http://www.deichschafblog.de/s4/mods-fuer-hunde-katzen/

Download the mod called "petwalkbysinotherworlds". It was updated on 21st June 2018.

I'm working on an update, I tried a lot of combinations, but it seems that nothing that I tried is working.
But I'll not give up so early ...

For now, this alternative seems to work very well

Thank you for providing this alternative. However, when I attempt to download it a picture of a sheep pops up saying, "No Hotlinking!"
Any idea how I might fix this?

I like the idea of this mod, but even when I chose 'low' there is like ALOT of cats meowing outside the house, and it's getting a bit much. LOL Thanks anyway.

The latest patch broke all script mods. They updated the version of python the game uses, so all script mods need to be recompiled.

How in the heck can awesome modders (you're one of them!) create these types of mods while the game devs don't do a single thing about it? A lot of people have wished for cats and dogs to roam other worlds, and the devs haven't done it, but modders have! It's incredible.

Hello! I've been enjoying this mod for awhile but with the latest August update, it appears the cat/dog module is missing so this mod may have some difficulties functioning! (at least that's what last exception suggests)

I hope to reinstall this mod back into my game soon, as I liked having animals roam all around!

Don't use it. It breaks the game, sims cannot finish writing a book, do homework, study etc.
