Yes.

But that answer is too short to post. It's the best game.

Addicted to The Sims since 2000.

It's a completely different game than its successors. If it can be made to run on your OS (and it probably can), and you'd like to play it, go for it.

i would say it definately is still a good game. i still play it even now, still find the occasional item to download even.
the gameplay, while still sim'ish is different. its harder in some ways and easier in others. you have to micromange more sometimes (especialy without certain mods) but at the same time, its much easier to keep a sim they dont have as many stages to go thru, cant die if embarasment or anger, just good old fashoned drowning or hunger ect.

you can theme play in some cases too, tho you probably end up having to join the yahoo groups to get a lot of the things now as many of the old sites closed down.
and it needs a lot less from a system to run, so if you happen to have an old laptop that runs winXP, you are golden lol.

I still play sims 1. I had an issue googled it, and found - myself! Well here I am

You most definitely CAN play on Windows 10. You just Have to have this -

The first one is the thread, the second is the link itself.

It's simply a start .exe that Starts the game. You don't need the disc after full install of Complete Collection. You must copy the New replaced .exe From the computer sim files.

It's not a "hack". It's just the only way sims 1 can initialize in Windows 10. It Works and I'm So glad someone created it.

Thank you a thousand times. I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas! I won't buy it now; that would just ruin the surprise.

Also make sure you get "Complete Collection", I'm not sure the "fix" will work on any other version.

I'd also like a link to the sims 1 patch, I'd really like to install the game on my Windows 10.
