I think I downloaded pretty much every one of your fixes so far and I'm so in awe of your work...
With your improvements the game is much more realistic I wish I could play it more.
Thank you!!!

This plant fix is terrific, it's been bothering me since forever how unrealistic plants and flowers looked during winters. No more!
Thank you!!

Thank you!

One question: Do your fixes work for recolors of the plants, or do they have to be changed individually?

Thank you all

@simmer22
I’m fairly sure they need to be changed individually (just importing my texture edits would work, it will fit to any recolour as it doesn’t have flowers), I had to import it for each Maxis recolour.

Oh ho - this was something I was planning to do over the summer. Which is good because now I don't have to do it and can do something else instead. Thanks Voeille.

MANY, many thanks, Voeille! I finally put Seasons into my game and was very disappointed with Maxis'es sad job with all the shrubs. (Gee, you mean roses don't bloom under three feet of snow?) Can't wait to see how my hood looks with your fix in. Again, thanks.

I already thanked you on Tumblr, but I have to thank you again! It's incredible that no one was bothered enough by this to fix it until TEN years later. That really concerned me that no one saw a problem with this, even though it is glaringly obvious! I do have a question, though: Would it be harder to make this tied to it being Winter (like the deciduous trees in-game change with each season) instead of having snow on it?

That would be harder, it would involve transforming each of the bushes into a tree, as shrubs aren’t made to be fully seasonal.

I have not thought about how the plants looked in the winter until I saw what you have done. Fantastic job.

This is truly amazing. Finally winter doesn't look like I left my plastic plants outside.

I guess this is working exactly as intended, but it just looks rather odd.
