Default Casino is of Italian origin
Casino is of Italian origin; the root casa means a house. The term casino may mean a small country villa, summerhouse, or social club.

Spaghetti is of Chinese origin. While we do think of pasta as a culturally Italian food, it is likely the descendant of ancient Asian noodles. A common belief about pasta is that it was brought to Italy from China by Marco Polo during the 13th century.

I don't have a point, just thought this was a new game we were playing here.

Ostriches are the only animals that have four kneecaps.

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

Turkish Taffy is not technically taffy nor does it originate from or have anything to do with the country of Turkey.

Egg Creams (the beverage) have neither eggs nor cream in them.

Hey, is anyone keeping score on these?

Nor does Cream Soda contain cream. But if I heard correctly, Egg Creams do contain milk, so they're a tad more legit than Cream Soda.

I tried briefly, but using an abacus -- but I don't know how, so I messed it up.

Fortune Cookies are an American invention, they're not a Chinese tradition. (most likely invented as a promotional stunt for an a Chinese restaurant in America, when thy tried importing them to China they didn't sell well, the Chinese found them to be "too American")
Fanta was invented in Nazi Germany. (due to an American trade embargo ingredients to make Coca Cola were almost impossible to get so they came up with an alternative)

2 legged animal to have four kneecaps? I would think quadrupeds have four, but I'm definitely not well versed on the subject.

I find it odd this subject is showing up is the sims 3 section though, off topic stuff doesn't usually.

...which makes it more mind-boggling why they included Fortune cookies in the China world lol

If I remember rightly, colloquially, exclaiming "Che casino!" means "What a mess!" "Casino" with the accent on the O, "ka-zi-NO," means place where one gambles. "Casino" with the accent on the I, "ka-ZI-no," means "brothel." So exclaiming "Che casino!" when walking into your teen's room literally means, "What a brothel!"

This etymology must be very true because on my native language (which is a smaller European language - not Italian) literally when a parent walks into a messy kids' room, they really say it, I could translate it to English like: "What a brothy!", as a nickname for "brothel".

Also interesting that originally, gambling establishments weren't called "casino" or "casini" in Italy - in the 18th century when these gambling places became popular, they were called "ridotto" (or plural "ridotti"). If I remember clearly - it happened in my previous life, so long ago...

Interesting article, though it contradicts itself by saying they believe certain species of frogs also have double kneecaps. Anyway I did some light research and it seems that quadrupeds only have kneecaps on their hind legs. Their front legs function more like elbows. I learn something new every day.

Anyway... yeah, I'm leaving with what's left of my sanity (it has advantages, you see).

I thought this was about the Martin Scorsese film Casino at first tbh. Not that it would make this any less random.
