Mod The Sims - MTS Movie Night #4

Hello, MTSers! After some delay, movie nights are back, with a fresh line-up to keep you all clucking happily!

In a couple of weekends we're hosting a live movie watching party in our Discord text chat server. We're hoping this will be a great chance for everyone to meet new people, get to know our chat system (if it's your first time), and also watch some really fun movies. This time up we've got an awesome animated ensemble!

The movies

Chicken Run
These chickens are sick of being cooped up, so it's time for a great escape! This gang of gals, led by the feisty Ginger, realizes it's time to leave the nest of their owner, the sinister Mrs Tweedy, and her hen-pecked husband, when the egg business takes a downturn. Their escape is rudely interrupted, however, by a rooster who falls from the sky! So this handsome, cocky stranger can definitely teach them how to fly to their escapes, right? Hilarious, heartfelt, and a fun time for the whole family!

Creature Comforts
Okay, not a movie, but close enough. Creature Comforts is a wickedly funny claymation TV show which takes candid interviews with ordinary Britons and sets them to delightfully incongruous animated farm animals, slugs, pets, flies, and bats. Watch a zoo jaguar complain about how the conditions here are lacking compared to back in Brazil! Watch a show pony brag about how he has a girlfriend in every town! It's zany, it's weird, it's hard to explain but irresistible once you've watched a few.

The chatting will take place in our Discord server, which you can join here. On the day of the watch party we will create a "Movie Night" channel dedicated to this event, so make sure to choose it from the Text Channel options.

How it works

First thing's first: Everyone needs to find their own copy of Chicken Run. Due to legal reasons, we cannot offer to stream it. Fortunately, however, it isavailable on Netflix in at least some territories!

Good news for Creature Comforts, Aardman has legally uploaded quite a few segments to YouTube, so we'll be watching from there. I'll come up with a list of clips and link to them in the chat on the day.

We'll be getting everyone synced up by doing a text countdown in chat. For this reason, please show up at least a few minutes early, to ensure we all start at the same time.

If you arrive after we've started, you'll have to figure out the sync for yourself (or, for Creature Comforts, wait for us to start the next segment).
